HOW TO PREVENT YOUR CLOTHES FROM FADING?

Hello!

I am a mother of three sons and the creator of OliverMartin brand.
I've washed some laundry in my life, as a result of which I've learned some tricks,
which has helped me a lot and extended the life of the clothes.
I will be happy to share them with you

FIRST STEPS

Each washing day begins with sorting the clothes, both by color (light, dark, red, yellow, etc.) and by material.
Merino / woolen items must be washed separately.
Next, I pull the washable clothes inside out, it helps against so-called abrasion and so that your clothes will not get white streaks on them.

DETERGENTS

I prefer to use washing gel - it reacts faster and manages to complete its job during the washing cycle.
Powders and capsule wash gels often only dissolve at the end of the wash cycle and their particles settle on clothes.
If it is not bed linen or kitchen towels, a water temperature of 30-40 degrees is enough. Hot water can damage the fabric.

TIPS ;)

SHORT REMINDER*

- wash different colors and different materials separately
- pull the clothes upside down before putting them in the washing machine
- select a water temperature of 30 to 40 degrees
- use colour and dirt capture cloths

*This way, washing your laundry is always easy and your clothes will retain their color and fresh appearance for a long time.
PS! None of OliverMartin cotton garments are afraid of drying in the tumble dryer using delicate mode.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Cotton knitwear is very comfortable and soft to wear, but there are some special features to consider. For example, the fabric shrinks by 5 to 10% the first time it is washed, depending on the density of the fabric. Manufacturers have taken this into account when making their products, so it may seem that the shirt or pants are a bit long in the store. Therefore, before buying, it is definitely worth checking how long the garment is intended for.

It is inevitable that darker tones on clothes fade over time.

I can honestly say that I also wash woolen clothes with a machine, using a gentle wool wash mode and with odorless, natural washing gel. After washing, I spread a towel on the laundry rack and the woolen clothes to dry on it. Usually the shape of the clothes is preserved, but if necessary, I gently stretch the garment into the right shape.
I deal with stains locally according to the stain. There are many instructions for removing various stains on the Internet.
